Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio is an American actress. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well in ABC's Lost television series. Her parents had divorced and she moved with her mom to Los Angeles. Her first role came to her in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. The role she played of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. film Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she was the main character for the initial two seasons. She was also awarded an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace was forced to quit the series to concentrate on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The actress has also appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and Taken opposite Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version from the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised Shannon's role on Lost for two more episodes. This included the series final. She was in 2013 for Season 6 of Californication. She plays Faith as a girl who serves as a model for the stars, and draws the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She is a member of the Gyllenhaal family and is the younger sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager, she began to work in small roles for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko along with her sister. She also appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise in both of her roles as the lead actress in Secretary (2002) which is an erotic romance drama drama and Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated for The Golden Globe Award. After several commercially successful films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received wider recognition for playing Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Following her acclaimed performance as a single mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Following that she continued to appear in comedy films and dramas like Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Will Not Back Down (12). The actress also was the role of a Secret Service Agent in White House Down, an action thriller that was released in 2013. She also played a musician as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014), and The lead on The Kindergarten Teacher, a film that debuted in the year 2018. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as a director, screenwriter and script writer when she wrote and directed The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at The Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by the Academy Award.
