Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to classical music as well as the traditional boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and various dramatic styles. The mother of her child taught her to sing, but she began an intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera chamber and choruses. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. She is involved with many local activities, both a teacher and performer, due to her passion for the arts and music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, to instill enthusiasm, specifically among the younger generation and keep the tradition alive.
